For The Love of Lisa and Ashley

Today is a huge day for me!

It's basically up there with signing a book deal, or being
chosen as one of BlogHer’s Voices of the Year.

Lisa and Ashley of The Dose of Reality are featuring a
post I wrote on their blog
!

I’m completely humbled by this for many reasons, but mostly because
I adore them and I also learn so much from them!

First of all, they are super smart.  Did you know they were able to scientifically
prove that Arie
Luyendyk Jr.is the best kisser on the face of the earth?

They also keep me abreast of all of the hottest trends on Pinterest!

They offer really great beauty advice too, and I for one,
will tell you that you will never, ever see me sporting ombre hair color
after keeping up with these girls.

If all that’s not enough, then get this. They’re in a
book!

And I have a copy of that book!

Lisa and Ashley Book

And I keep it on my mantle just as they keep it on theirs!

The only time that I plan to take it down from my mantle is
to pack it in my suitcase with me when I go to Bloggy Boot Camp in Charlotte
next month and meet them, and get them to autograph it!

Although I’m not taking it for granted that I will actually
get to meet them.  I’m not sure if they
have “people” I will need to go through first.

They’re kind of like rock stars and rock stars have “people,”
right?  They probably have people and a
list of specifications for the conference itself, just like rock stars would. You
know, like wanting M&M’s but without the orange ones.  Although if they had requirements like that,
it wouldn’t even phase me, and more so, I would gladly pick the orange M&M’s
out of the bag for them.    When
you’re Lisa and Ashley, you shouldn’t have to deal with orange M&M’s.  Period.

Lisa and Ashley, it’s an honor beyond words to be featured
on your blog today. You are warm and supportive and for a few minutes each day,
I get to escape my own intensity over at your place and hang out with you and laugh, have a great time, and be reminded of what a gift it is to have girlfriends.

This world needs laughter and
this world needs love.  You guys have
never once skimped on either.

  1. Totally crying. Seriously. We are printing this out and getting it laminated and carrying it around in our wallets so that anytime our kids are mean to us (daily) or our hubbies take us for granted (daily) we can pull it out and look at it and feel better! 🙂 You are amazing and wonderful and have just said the nicest things ever!!
P.S. We tend to prefer only the green M&M’s! 😉
P.S.S. You bring up a valid point about having people…sadly, our minivans are too dirty and cluttered to make room for anyone else! 😉
