Guest Post Today on Love Life Surf

Some friendships are just meant to be.

That’s exactly how I feel about Christine, the creator of
one of my favorite blogs, Love Life Surf.

I bumped into Christine on Twitter a few months ago, while
following the hash tag for Bloggy Boot Camp Philadelphia (“BBCPhilly”).  I had wanted to attend the conference but got
waitlisted, so I soaked up every ounce of those Twitter conversations
that I could manage.  Christine was there
and was full of enthusiasm about everything she was learning at the conference.
She shared quotes, wisdom, and memorable moments as they were happening in real
time.

Soon after the conference, Christine wrote a great re-cap of
what she learned in Philadelphia, and those insights that she so generously
shared have helped in many ways, shape how I approach blogging.

Christine’s blog is thought provoking , fun, and
inspirational.  She chats about motherhood,
fitness,  careers, healthy eating,  and how to find balance in it all.

Oh, and did I mention, she’s a surfer?

One of the things that I admire the most about Christine is
her sense of adventure.  Whether it’s
surfing, stand up paddle boarding, traveling, or trying out a new recipe, Christine
is open to exploration.  She gets out
there and lives, and her enthusiasm for life leaps off her homepage.

Today, I am honored to be the guest blogger on Love Life Surf, where I discuss the
decade-long process of my being able to get into a yoga headstand.  I’ll give you a hint:  the process included a lot of falling
down!  But as with all things for me, the falling down was mental
as well as physical, and the insights behind my “headstand fail” were
staggering.

After you check out my post, I invite you to spend some time to get to know Christine.

Christine, you inspire me every time we cross paths.  Thank you for being a mentor and
a friend.

Namaste, Divas!

  1. Aww, thank you!! I absolutely LOVE having you over today on the blog. Yes, there are some friendships that seem meant to be and it became more clear as I read your post because me + headstands = not friends even after 10+ years of yoga practice. Thank you for sharing your lessons with me and everyone else. Can’t wait to meet IRL, hopefully soon!
